Terms of Trade
By paying to reserve a garment/s you are agreeing to the following terms. Please consider this before renting with Mondo Hire.
1. Bookings
1a) Dates are reserved after full payment only, dresses cannot be placed on hold. Full payment is composed of the bond payment, hire fee payment and postage payment if applicable.
1b) Once a garment has been reserved for a date, it cannot be changed for another garment or date.
1c) If you need to cancel for any reason, including a change of mind, Mondo Hire can offer a store credit up to 30 days before your event. Within 30 days of the event, the hire price is non-refundable. The bond will be returned to you. Store credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
2. Payments
2a) Bank transfer is the only payment method available.
2b) Full payment is required prior to pickup and prior to interstate postage.
3. Refund Policy
3a) No refunds after full payment. This payment locks in your garment and date, other clients will be turned away.
3c) Store credits are not provided once payment is made.

4. Bonds
4a) A bond is required for all garments.
4b) The bond is returned following an inspection of the dress to ensure it is in original condition.
4c) The bond will not be returned if any alterations/adjustments have been made to the dress without consent from Mondo Hire
4d) In the event that further dry cleaning or repairs are required, the cost of this will be deducted from the bond. Excess will be invoiced.
5. Dry Cleaning
5a) Mondo Hire is responsible for all dry cleaning. Our garments are delicate, due to their vintage nature, and require special care. Do not attempt to clean the garment yourself.
5b) Dry cleaning costs vary dress to dress, and are included in the hire fee.
5c) For local clients: Following dry cleaning, all hires are carefully steamed and hung in a garment bag ready for pickup/dropoff.
5d) For interstate hires: Garments are carefully steamed, wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a a satchel ready for postage.
6. Postage
6a) In the unlikely event there are delays by Australia Post and the garment does not arrive in time for your event, a full refund will be issued.
6b) In the event a hired garment arrives via postage and does not fit or meet the customer's needs for their event, they can receive a store credit valid for 6 months from the date it delivers. The garment must be returned within 24 hours of delivery and must be handed over the counter at the post office to be eligible for a store credit.
6c) Postage returns must be handed over the counter to an auspost staff member, as opposed to being placed in a yellow express post box.
7. Store Credits
7a) The store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
7b) Store credits are non-transferable and only apply to the individual who made the initial booking.
8. Try-Ons
8a) Booking a try-on does not guarantee that the dress is reserved for your date.
8b) Try-ons are not available after the garment has been reserved and paid for. If you are concerned about sizing, please try on the garment before payment.
8c) Should local clients choose not to try-on their garment prior to payment, and upon pickup discover that it does not fit, a store credit is provided. See 7a for details.
9. Rental Period
9a) For hires via postage, the garment must be posted back over the counter at a post office (not in a street posting box) the next business day following your event by 4pm. Failure to meet these conditions may result in late fees equivalent to 25% of your hire fee.
9b) For pickup/drop-off hires, the garment must be returned within the two days following your event unless an agreement has been made prior to payment of the rental. Failure to meet these conditions may result in late fees equivalent to 25% of your hire fee.
10. Damages
10a) As Mondo garments are vintage and often one of a kind, they are irreplaceable. The RRP of each garment is calculated based on age, material composition, rarity and condition by a professional.
10b) If an item is damaged beyond repair, the full RRP of the item must be paid. See 10a.
10c) Customers acknowledge that they will be wearing vintage items which have been rented by other customers. Therefore, refunds or discounts will not be issued for minor wear which could be expected of a vintage garment.
